Winemaking – The 2014 vintage is being described by winemakers as a
vintage of “quality,” “depth of flavor” and “excellent”, not to mention a vintage with “perfect weather,” “abundant crop” and “good fortune”. This was the perfect vintage for winemaker Julie Hagler Lumgair to complete from start to finish for Ideology Cellars.

The 2014 Pinot Noir, a three clone, two vineyard wine, was gently pressed and transferred to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and nine months of sur-lie aging. This Russian River beauty is un-fined.

Tasting – A gorgeous dark amethyst hue hints at the pleasures to come.
Deep, full nose deliciously true to the variety and the terroir, it opens with a delicate rush of fruit – ripe wild cherry, sassafras and a hint of spice. Elegant, and well balanced with a silky texture, this age-worthy Pinot Noir is a true Russian River Valley Classic.
