2014 Louis Baisinbert Savigny Les Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentieres Pinot Noir Burgundy France

The Story
Louis Baisinbert wines were born from the passion of three Burgundy Wine lovers who created a mico-Haute Couture-wholesale company with a unique and exclusive focus on quality.

Their approach: select Barrels specific Cuvees from a few of the very best independant Burgundy winemakers. Their wines are presented in innovative bottles with unique design and a label that still respect Burgundian codes and traditions.

The wine: A red fine Burgundy wine in Limited Edition
Vintage: 2014
Quantity Produced: 1,200 bottles
Grape Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir

Soil
The heavy soils and good Southerly exposure guarantee a great finesse to the wine "Les Serpentieres". Before being called "The Serpentieres" the climate was called "The Serpentine", which refers to a specific kind of snake in Burgundy.

Winemaking
Aged 12 to 20 months in French Oak

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour with subtle purple tones. It is a very elegant wine with aromatic blend of cassis, black raspberries, woodsmoke, gamebird, chocolate and complex soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite plush on the attack, with ripe tannins, fine mid-palate depth and a long, complex and classy finish.
